JEWELLERY BY RENELYN QUINICOT
I've had the great pleasure of knowing Renelyn Quinicot for over a two years now. Only 18 years old and wiser than anyone I've ever met at her age. Renelyn Quinicot has the unique talent of understanding others just by listening. Her new venture to design jewellery does just that. Instead of creating pieces that follow a certain trend or style Renelyn does something more special and never done before. She creates her pieces simply from either listening or reading about her customers. Renelyn rather asks of her customers for a small excerpt about themselves or what they want others to know about them. From those excerpts alone Renelyn creates unique one of a kind exquisite pieces. I have never seen anything so personal and meaningful before. It is creative and different just like her. I am so proud to call her my friend and can't wait to see what she does next. I have a feeling this is just the beginning for Renelyn Quinicot. Her line is currently carried at some of Toronto's favourite boutiques.
Above is a piece she created for me. She really has a gift like no other. Creating a piece that truly describes my aesthetics and style just from her understanding of me. It's PERFECT!

STAYING WARM IN ANGORA
This is probably my favourite new sweater this season. I've been wearing it almost everyday this winter. It is so warm and fits so well. It even has a zipper on one of the shoulders. It's details like that that really make for a great piece in your closet. The colour is rich and heathered and you can pair it with just about anything in your closet. The best part of it all is it doesn't have to cost you a fortune. I was lucky enough to snag this particular 100% Angora sweater from H&M. And if that wasn't enough of a shock already, it was ON SALE. I couldn't believe it myself. The reason being Angora typically is not cheap!

I'm not big on line ups and crowds so when the Mason Martin Margiela collection debuted at H&M a month ago I just couldn't bring myself to go and line up. Instead I waited till the crowd died down and I had more time to really appreciate the collection for myself rather than buy whatever other bloggers were advertising. So I went into the nearest H&M and browsed around. I immediately fell in love with this one dress that was simply amazing. It was silky and smooth and wrapped around like a beauty. I knew just then and there that would be the one thing I had to have if not anything else. I continued to look around just to make sure there was nothing else. As I came across to the accessories section (warning: I'm obsessed with accessories) my eyes were instantainously drawn to this leather glove purse. The idea of a leather glove as a purse in my opinion was genius and the simplicity to it was incredible. So there I was with these two items happy as could be. I didn't have to fight anyone for them or wait outside in the cold to obtain them. Indeed my patience paid off!
WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY?
WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY? I would have to answer: jewellery. A girl can never have too much jewellery in my opinion. The more the better. Why not wear all your favourite pieces at once? That's usually my motto! I recently picked up these two pieces from my favourite costume jewellery shop on Bloor street. As soon as I laid eyes on them I knew I had to have them. They compliment each other so well and the best part of it all is?

PRE-FALL 2013
Here are some of my favourite collections for Pre-Fall 2013. I really enjoyed the bags in Alexander Wang's collection and the use of grey and black. I love the cut in Helmut Lang. The dresses are perfection. I really enjoyed the use of the colour red in Narciso Rodriguez's collection. The prints in Proenza Schouler are amazing especially the orange/yellow dress. Theyskens' Theory had such great tomboy chic looks that I would most likely wear. And 3.1 Philip Lim made boxy sweaters look amazing and great on the female. Take a look for yourself!

Tracklist:
I can't express how amazing the TRUE [EP ] is. Solange Knowles has proved once again how amazing and creative she really is. Teaming up with Dev Hynes to produce this 7 song EP for all her adoring fans. It truly is something fresh, new and different which we haven't seen from a lot of artist recently. My favourite song on the TRUE [EP] is probably all of them. It is on repeat at the moment on my iPod (because that's how good it really is).
